Before the call

The channel had an early burst of growth and then plateaued.

    • Click through rate (CTR) at 4.9%

    • Mid-video retention around the 4 minute mark at 45%

    • Clarified who her channel is really for

    • Looked at what similar channels were doing and where she could stand out

  2. Analytics review

    • Walked through her retention graphs to see exactly where viewers were dropping

    • Reviewed CTR across recent uploads to spot patterns

  3. Simple, actionable fixes

    • A few easy changes to how videos were framed and opened

    • Straightforward tweaks aimed at improving both CTR and retention

    • All doable with her current setup and workflow

She left the call with a short list of changes and implemented them immediately on her next videos.

What happened after 1 call

On the next batch of videos, after she applied those changes:

  • CTR improved from 4.9% to 6.6%

  • Mid-video retention at roughly the 4 minute mark improved from 45% to 56%

  • New uploads began pulling higher view counts than her recent baseline, as more people clicked and stayed watching
